First, a story.
Back when we were working on the Lord of the Rings project, Mama Bear was testing our objects for us and alerted me to some 'quirks' with the Object Editor. They had to do with alignment issues when making small scenery pieces that were to line up with walls or other objects nearby... and roofs... and stacking 1/4 tile objects on top of full-tile objects.
Come to find out, a lot of these quirks had affected the Harry Potter scenery, and Mama Bear was kind enough to fix them for me.
Ever since, I've been trying to release the fixed scenery. First I thought it would be best to remove the bad scenery the public release download and replace it with the fixed scenery, then re-release the main Harry Potter scenario. Well, that proved to be a HUGE undertaking. After many attempt by myself along with the help of Yellow Rose, I have finally given up on that endeavor.
So, instead, I've compiled the new, fixed scenery in one download and have included a few new pieces that were missing from the original release, including one that was requested by Fossil way back in the early days of the release (the marble arches) and wall pieces that match the Quiditch full-tile objects.
Once you open the scenario and import the new objects you can find them in the Scenario Editor as always. For those who have the old objects, thenew/corrected ones will look the same and have the same name, but the new/corrected objects have "- fixed" at the end of their object name.
So... without further ado, here are the fixed objects from the Harry Potter custom scenery release along with 10 new pieces:
