Ok, I know most of you guys who got rct3 have good graphics cards, which is, of course, needed to run the game. I doubt I can afford a new graphics card...so what should I do? I met all of the requirements...However, I only have an Nvidia 4...(banana-giddy.gif banana-dazed.gif)But it can run certain, or most of the high graphics games I own...Theres just a little lag.(AoE3, EE2, SimCity4...etc. Usually from last 1-3 years...)...All except for...you guessed it. RCT3.Frequent blurring problems (the ones where objects...such as one thing...like a bin, literrally blur up. This even happens on low graphics. When I mean blur, I mean the object expands in size, to the point where you can't see anything but a monocolored screen, plus the toolbars. Not to mention the fact that it PERMENANTLY destroys my computer, and I must reformat it...

Could anyone spare a graphics card update or somethin'? I really will have not want to waste $40 US.

I run just fine on a 128MB GForce4 card.

Have you downloaded the latest drivers from NVidia?

Ok, I've finally installed RCT3. And its working! However, the graphics are still blurring, low, or high. I toyed around with the NVIDIA control panel, it improved just a bit, to the point where it will blur on just one thing on one scenario, but not the whole game. Btw ekimmel, I did try your suggestion by downloading the driver, but my graphic card is half the MB of yours, so...it didn't work.

Ok here are the specs of my computer:
512 RAM
64MB GeForce MX 420
50 GB
Pentium 4
Dell dimension 4550 (black)
from 2002-2003

If I am right, I have more than I have...but I think the probs are the graphic card. I may get a new, better one. Could anyone think of any settings for my computer to cope?

Help, please!,

As I recall Atari specifically mentions the GF4 MX cards as not recommended for RCT3.

I think you should just deal with the small problems you have now and save up for a new video card. A reasonable one is only about $50.

I agree with ekimmel on the availability of a new video card. You can find decent ones for as little as $40. Though you probably should look for one in the $75 - $150 range.

Make sure that you get one your PC can use, there are three formats still available; PCI, PCI-Express (the newest) and AGP with speeds of 2x, 4x and 8x. If you don't have an AGP or PCI-Express slot available, you'll have to find a PCI card. You should have an AGP slot on your motherboard, but you still need to check before you purchase a new graphics card.

I would also recommend that you add more RAM if at all possible. At the very least, double it to 1024 MB.

Good luck!

Ok guys, thanks a lot, and ekimmel, ya sure it said that? I thought it only said "64MB ATI recommended". Oh, well, now I know what to do. I'm getting a graphics card, and yes, I am getting more RAM. (phooey, when we updated our comp we threw out the old RAM due to corrputivity.)
