Issue opening saved game, RCT 2 Options

Hello, yesterday i was playing a lot, and everything was well. I saved my game, but today i went to go place, and when i click on the park it says "Unable to load file... files contains invalid data". I dont understand whats wrong with it.. like i said i played it yesterday and everything was fine. does anyone know a solution? i was told to try uninstalling/reinstalling but will i lose all my saved games if i do?
any help would be appreciated .. thanks !

EDIT -- Uninstalling and reinstalling didnt work..

Yous should always let someone know which version your playing. I'm guessing RCT2

Sounds like you may have deleted a file.

Between the time you saved the game and the time you went back to play it, did you delete any of the .dats? If this is the case it will briefly let you know when you start to load the game.

If that's not it, let us know what version your playing and then maybe we can help you out.

Hello, I'm playing RCT 2, and i have time twister installed as well. I'm pretty sure i didn't delete any files. The message pops up in a red box then goes away after a few seconds, and the screen doesn't change (i waited around 10 minutes). I don't know if this is important, but i downloaded this park, and that some of the scenery is custom content.

If the screen your refering to is the screen when the game starts, then it definetly sounds like you've lost a .dat file somewhere along the way.

Try again and make note of what it says. I know its hard, but maybe if you hit "Print Screen" on your keyboard you will be able to save the screenshot and get the info off of that.

Hello, i took a few screenshots and they all came out black when i went to paste them onto paint. Do you know how I'm able to retrieve this lost .dat file?

Try using IrfanView for this.

After downloading it, take the screenshot, open IrfanView, click edit, then paste. Then come back here and upload it so we can look at it.

I tried that, and it still came up with a black screen. I attached a picture i took with my camera.. Its Medium quality and its readable. Like I said, that message appears after i select the park i want to open.

OK, I see what you mean, now.

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer. You mentioned you downloaded this park. Have you tried downloading it again? The puzzling thing is that you said you had already played it.

I reall don't know why it would work one day and not the next.

I do have the original park, but this version is from months of game play, I'd really hate to lose it/start over.
But thank you anyways, I appreciate your support and help. I'm going to continue to try and get it up, and if i do i'll post a solution here incase anyone else is having this problem.

Same thing happened to my Adrenaline Heights park.

I don't think there's any way to fix it, other than loading from a previous save.
