I've been playing RCT2 for years (since I "borrowed" it from my kids, who weren't playing) but rarely post any messages. This site has consistently been my favorite for locating just the right object to include in my custom scenarios or finding the answer to a troubling question. Today I have a question that's been troubling me for quite some time and I was hoping there is someone out there who can help...

I frequently build large parks and want my paths to be double wide. When the path level remains the same, the peeps seem to behave rather well. But, oh my, when I make a path go up or downhill, those crazy peeps seem to feel that when the get to the bottom or top of the steps/stairs, they should turn around and go the opposite direction. Now I could understand if they suddenly reached a turn in the path, but there is none! I'm thinking they're perceving this as a bend, despite the lack of one.

Has anyone encountered this too and found a fix? I've tried making placing "No Entry" signs to make the paths one-way. Any other ideas?

Thanks so much for any help you can offer. From someone who's been looking in for years, I think you all are the best! banana-pompom.gif

One way steps have always worked for me...

Try making a space of blank land between the sets of stairs?

I haven't played RCT2 in a year or so, but I think this might help, too.
I believe you can make a path, place a fence, along side of it, place another path along the fence, and then remove the fence, the peeps won't wander from one path tile to the other. Hope that helps you.
