MS NBC is reporting that researchers believe this is coming by 2050. "My forecast is that around 2050, the state of Massachusetts will be the first jurisdiction to legalize marriages with robots," artificial intelligence researcher David Levy at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands told LiveScience. Levy recently completed his Ph.D. work on the subject of human-robot relationships, covering many of the privileges and practices that generally come with marriage as well as outside of it. What's scary is that they predict Robot marrages, and don't allow gays to marry. NOT being gay myself, but this sort of sends mixed signals when compaired to today's current events. I mean, how can they conclude that it's better to marry an AI, then turn around and NOT allow two real, fleash & blood humans to be married? The common concept is that this is a vow taken between a man and a woman. Not between a man, or a woman, and a machine. At any rate, when the time comes, I'm sure we'll hear from the morality folks in the religious realms before too long. Oh what fireworks there will be.
