I was wondering, you know how we have the 5-Star Member and Order of the Pheonix (SP?) groups? Well, do you think we could have Club Leader and Club member groups as well? It wouldn't be too hard to find the club members, as I have a list on the second post of my club sign up, or I can PM the names of the people in the club to MidwestBoyInLA or someone. I'm sure the other club leaders could do that too.

Also, we could make our own labels and send them in to serve as the 140px width by 51px height icons, say instead of the standard RCT*Mart text, we have a picture of a castle and the words "Disney Theme Parks Club Member" or "Disney Theme Parks Club Leader" for the Disney Theme Parks Club. Just a idea.

I suppose we could. I've tried to limit the number of usergroups, simply because we have a lot of them (many no longer in use, but I haven't gone in and cleaned them up lately). I'd prefer to have just one group for each club (not one for members and another for leaders), though.

Send me the graphic you'd like to use along with the list of members and I'll work on setting something up.

You can always use your Member Title area (as you've done already) to designate the leader.

I have a suggestion for the site.

The one thing I have found missing at the mart is a general ride/park exchange.
Grant it, I know this would probably be a HUGE hassle, but it would be nice to be able to send in or download tracks/parks from other "general" members.
Perhaps the site is set up as-is to avoid bandwidth problems, or for some other reason I am unaware of, and perhaps the Mart chooses to host some designers because of the quality of their work, but I have found several parks and tracks on other sites that were decent.
Anyway, it's a suggestion.

Well, I assume by "General" you mean stuff made by other members. As I found out, that is a violation of the Terms Of Service, and you need the other member's permission. You can post a topic in the appropriate RCT downloads forum, and explain that it is not your work, say who the member's name was, and give the link to the page that lets you download, not the download itself.

Members are welcome to post their own parks (in the various Stock Room forums) however we have not set up a formal park/ride exchange interface. It's more a programming issue (I don't know how to build one) plus RCT2.com/RCTSpace Forums has one already.

Of course, if we were to do something like that you'd only be allowed to upload your own parks, not those of other (or unknown) members.

Well, That all makes sense to me now!!!!
maybe I should change my name to
DUH-ke!!!!
Thanks for the light bulb!!!
As for uploading our own parks, I see your point and I agree.
No one should post someone else's work as their own.
My only issue with that would be, some of the custom pieces I have, I don't remember who created. So IF I were to upload a park, How would I handle that in giving credit to the obj creators??

Yeah,
I looked at your list the other day on revolutionz.
That must have taken TONS of time to put together.
Will do, but for now, I think I may just stick to doing rides.
Mine are nothing spectacular, but maybe someone else would enjoy them in their parks. Of course, that's if I can figure out how to post them and the screenies and the d/l.
Haven't had much luck with that, since I've only done it once.
I know, I know...I should spend more time reading the INSTRUCTIONS!!! lol
Well, need to mosey along.
Now, where did I put my cowboy hat??

It's standard RCT etiquette that you do your best to credit any known object creators you used... but I think it's pretty understandable that you won't catch all of them. We usually say "Thanks to X, Y, Z desingers and my apologies to anyone I used and failed to credit."

The worse offense is to actually take credit for building/making/creating their work, but failing to acknowledge you used their pieces in a park isn't as bad.

Thanks for the information, MBILA.
That will come in very handy.
Would I do so with using pieces from the Disneyland project, etc
Ie, thanks to.....
the DisneneyLand Project ________Team....
the LOTR ______ team....
Would that be acceptable as well??
I totally agree with you about claiming someone else's work for your own.
It takes a he** of a lot of work to make some of those things, and it's not right to claim it as yours when you didn't bust your chops making it.
I actually have a park, I'd like to post, but I have a TON of thank you's and Ok's to say and get.
Though, I am not new to the game, or posting d/l's I am new to this type forum board and not sure how everything works just yet.
The smiley face attachment in the path lesson class was a fluke, I have no idea how I did it!!! LOL!!!
So, screens and links and such currently have me bumfuzzled.
yes, I know, that isn't hard to do!!! but at least I'm trying, right lol!!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Duke
