It would be a good profile feild to add here ^.~
At many boards I've been to, theres a selection box where you select "male", "female", or "undefined" (if you dont want to tell your real gender), and I think it would be a good idea for this forum too -.- |

Actually, you can do it with this version of Invision Power Board, you just have to add the new profile field in the Admin CP.
You can ask Brad by sending him a PM and see what he thinks. |

Well, since Brad's considering upgrading the boards, there's no real reason to make any changes to the current one at the moment. Once the upgrade is done, then it will be up to him, rct2nut and spunky to determine if there are some features they don't want to use.

In the interest of safety of the members I'd say this is not a good idea. For the same reason that they ask people not to post their email addy's here - it's not safe, especially when there's a fairly large number of younger members on a family-friendly site like this.
The admins already have to spend way too much time keeping the spammers out and making sure under-age people fill out the required COPPA form - why add even one more thing for them to worry about? Personally I could care less whether one is male, female or undefined...that's not why I come here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana-lol.gif) |

I am of the "who cares" group. On a forum like this where the main focus is a game, it makes no difference what gender one is. But locking as requested!
