Why did they like this?

Sometimes this game surprises us; looking strictly at stats can be misleading. Most of us have seen cases where rides are either more, or sometimes less, popular than we expected. Suspended Swinging EX provided an example of this when I used it in a scenario. Perhaps because it was placed close to the entrance, and an portion of the track extended over the main path, this coaster garnered more attention than I expected. This was a good outcome, as the coaster made a lot of money.
With 2,520 feet of track, and six block sections, it has "just enough" size to run three trains. To see a train moving in towards a station that has a filled queue just as a train filled with paying customers is pulling out is enough to warm a tycoon's heart.
